Covered California is a free service that connects Californians with brand-name health insurance under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
With franchise enrollment centers selling under the brand name, Covered California. I was hired to make sure the enrollment centers worked under brand guidelines and were successful.
As regional marketing manager, Collective:Choice was the franchise enrollment center I oversaw.
Collective Choice is an agency partnered with Covered California to educate and enroll consumers in a plan that best fits their needs. The agency recognized for being ranked as one of the top five health insurance agencies in California.
There was no website or true brand presence before I received the account in 2019.
My first task was to aid in brand recognition. I set up the guidelines for typography, palette, and imagery.

Brand characters are standing up to be a reliable, and often a more human alternative to using celebrity ambassadors. And the benefits of them don’t end there: there are no messy contracts and exorbitant fees to negotiate and, most importantly, they won’t let brands down with “transgressions” in their personal life.
To give the brand personality, I designed characters that illustrate the employees that work in the offices across Southern California.
EnrollCA was created to give clients another option to see the same plans and prices as Covered California with no extra costs. After looking over options, they are free to reach out to Collective:Choice's sales agents or schedule an over-the-phone appointment.
I constructed the logo, user interface, and experience designs for enrollca.com. The website was created in collaboration with the team's web developer. And, the website is managed through WordPress.

Doing research on competitors' tools to persuade leads to sign up for healthcare, I worked with a website developer to create an app within enrollca.com that leads to see if they are eligible for financial help and which plans are available in their area.
For collectivechoice.com, I designed the content and manage the website on a daily basis updating it with current information about health plans, enrollment dates, and more.
Collective:Choice assists in multiple languages: English, Spanish, Korean, Vietnamese, and Hindi. The marketing material is translated into different languages with input from language speakers, not just Google Translate.
For the Collective:Choice locations, I have created designs to bring attention to the exterior of buildings like window decals, murals, and banners. I have created posters, brochures, and coordinated interior designing to advertise the services, while adding aesthetics to the space.
